Still 3-digits number of days left. Still time to train and prepare. Which is GOOD. Because the Evil Hip has stroked again during the night, making it completely impossible to even walk (ok, I could walk with lots of screaming and cursing – in my head). Painkillers were of no help at all. Hot bath probably burn the skin more than help the hip pain. So after 3 hours, could finally fall asleep again. Probably of exhaustion. And it was 4am…
Interestingly (?) the pain is not what I am used to (which is no fun to write because no one should be “used to” a certain pain). Usually it is in the front of the hip, groin area. Here it was actually on the “outside”, although when trying to find the area itself, I could not really find a specific spot. Which makes me think it might be “inside” in a way. Once again, lots of googling later provided more worried thoughts than helped. Use of a crutch has been the best decision of the day… Figure out! Alternating hot gel pads and cold spray is also the alternative treatment for today.
Not being a fan of painkiller, I tried to endure the pain, but honestly when the foot cannot touch the floor without getting a little scream of pain… it is time to re-consider. No surprise here, but today will be a (forced) rest day.
So, countdown to 178. Definitely a nice number of minutes to reach 🙂
