Running longer and faster… a few thoughts…

When I started running, it was mainly for a physiotherapy purpose after a knee wrench. Then came the first race (half-marathon) and got hooked. First marathon was such an experience, apart from (or including?) the pain and the void afterwards, that it felt just logical to get along with it. Just continued running forward, longer, faster, smarter…

What I appreciate are long runs for the time on the road & enjoying the calm of the mind, I enjoy the intervals for the speed, the sweat and the satisfaction afterwards, I discovered the hills for the extra benefits on the side (yes there are some!) but mostly I love the runs with my biggest fans biking by my side 🙂

Why do I run? Still searching…

And the little extra about me: I have three little extras at home, who are my best coach-running partners-fans. My children are part of the whole story, encouraging, supporting and always ready to join for a run. Best part of the training, indeed!

  1. Great blog! I’m not much of a runner but I do enjoy going for runs (short ones) at the gym or outside 🙂

    • Hi there!

Thanks for finding my blog and reading it (!) 🙂
I think that as long as you enjoy the run, it does not matter how long they are. Moreover some people will be better off with indoor running when others are more likely to be outside independently of the weather or mood of the day!

      Have fun running!

(and btw, as soon as you run, you ARE a runner!)
